The Central Valley WIC Dietetic Internship currently offers two tracks:
Track 1: Combined Master's Degree/Dietetic Internship Program, in collaboration with Russell Sage College, for applicants who need a fully online master's degree and an on-site dietetic internship;
Track 2: Dietetic Internship Program, for applicants who already have a master's degree.
"The structure of your program is awesome, with just two classes at a time. I think this is the best way to set it up, because you get to work and prepare for your rotations. It's more manageable than I thought it would be. I did a lot of research, and your program has been so flexible." - 2022 MS/DI Intern Graduate
2024 Application Deadline
- Friday, January 12, 2024: Application deadline for CDPH WIC employees. Selected employees will be notified by February 9, 2024. Applications need to be submitted through DICAS (Dietetic Internship Computer Application System). Our program does not participate in the Spring or Fall Computer Match.
- We have four open positions for our combined MS/DI track. Selected applicants will start their online graduate classes in May, 2024, and their rotations in January, 2026, in the Fresno/Central Valley area.
- We also have two open positions for applicants who already have a master's degree. Selected applicants will start their rotations in January 2025, in the Fresno/Central Valley area.
Admission requirements for both tracks include current employment with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) WIC Program, and six months of WIC experience prior to the application deadline, (January 12, 2024). Applicants must also have a verification statement, indicating they have completed a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Program.
The Central Valley WIC Dietetic Internship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
