- There is no application fee for our program
- Requested application documents include:
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Three letters of recommendation
- One from a WIC Supervisor
- One from a college/university instructor
- One from a person of applicant's choice (working or retired professional).
- Verification Statement indicating completion of an accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) within the last 5 years. If more than 5 years have passed since the student completed the DPD program, the student may be able to take additional classes to qualify for internship application. Please contact the Internship Director for more information.

- Please answer the following questions in the personal statement:
- Why do you want to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN)?
- What experiences have best prepared you for a career as an RDN?
- What are your short-term and long-term goals?
- What are your key strengths, and what are areas are you working to improve?
- What challenges have you faced on the path to becoming an RDN?
- Where would you like to work after you become a RDN, (in what geographical area), and why?
- What other information do you consider important for the selection committee to know?
- Maximum of 1000 words
- Please answer the following questions in the personal statement:
- Documentation of TOEFL score if native language is not English, and applicant did not graduate from a college or university in the United States, a minimum TOEFL score of either 560 (paper-based test), 241 (computer-based test), or 83 (internet-based test) is required.
Selection Process and Important Deadlines
Applicants who meet admissions requirements are scheduled for a interview (via phone or Zoom) with the Internship Director and a member of the Selection Committee. Applications are then forwarded to the Selection Committee for review. The Selection Committee then appoints individuals to internship positions.
The deadline to submit an application is October 1, 2026.
