Selection Process
 

Currently there are 4 intern positions in the Central Valley WIC Dietetic Internship. Two positions will be filled by computer-matched applicants, and two positions will be filled by individuals working for WIC.
   

For individuals working for WIC, applications must be postmarked no later than July 1.

For individuals NOT working for WIC, applications must be postmarked no later than September 25.

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are then scheduled for a telephone interview with members of the Selection Committee. Following the interviews, applicants are ranked.


The ranking is submitted to computer matching and matched applicants are notified in November.

The selected applicants begin the dietetic internship in January.


For applicants who work for WIC, the matching process may be waived. Please contact the Dietetic Internship Director for more information.

Please note, WIC employees who applied in July and were not accepted into the internship are encouraged to apply again in the fall match process. A second application packet is not required, but these applicants do need to complete required information for D&D Digital.
