Program applicants need to have completed the following
A bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
Verification of completion of an ADA-approved Didactic Program in Dietetics within the last 5 years. If more than 5 years, students may need to take additional classes. Please contact the Internship Director for more information.
A minimum of 2.5 GPA on last 60 semester/90 quarter units.
A minimum of 550 on TOEFL if native language is not English, and applicant did not graduate from a college or university in the United States.
3 letters of recommendation (1 from professor/academic instructor, 1 from volunteer or work supervisor, 1 from person of your choice.)
Demonstration of desire to stay and work in the Central Valley of California is a desired criteria, but not required.
Of the 4 available dietetic internship positions, 2 positions will be given additional priority for meeting the above eligibility criteria while also being a current WIC employee. Only applicants who have been employed by a California WIC agency for six months or longer prior to their application will be classified as current employees.
